Franz Klammer 1986 DTM Mercedes SLS AMG livery for the Gran Turismo Mercedes SLS AMG Gr.4.

Based on the Group A Mercedes 190E run by the rsmMarko team in the Deutsche Tourenwagen-Meisterschaft.

The car is modelled on the two variants of the Mercedes 190E he drove in the 1986 championship.

I have also made original versions for the Project Cars 2 Mercedes 190E on PC including the cars driven by the rest of the team.

With the Group A period being my favourite period of Touring Car Racing the lack of cars from that period meant that I built a number of liveries based on the cars under the title of “Project Group A”. Principally as a way of forcing my Adobe Illustrator skills to improve and so I could pull in liveries of that period onto their modern counterparts.
