Trakstar Mike Smith and Robb Gravett 1989 BTCC Ford Mustang liveries for the Gran Turismo Ford Mustang Gr.4.

Based on the 1989 Ford Sierra Cosworths used by the Trakstar Motorsport team in the British Touring Car Championship, driven by Mike Smith and Robb Gravett.

The first year with the ex-Dick Johnson Racing Sierras for Trakstar, Robb finished 2nd in Class A behind the much better funded Andy Rouse. In 1990 he would go one better and take the overall title with 9 wins.

With the Group A period being my favourite period of Touring Car Racing the lack of cars from that period meant that I built a number of liveries based on the cars under the title of “Project Group A”. Principally as a way of forcing my Adobe Illustrator skills to improve and so I could pull in liveries of that period onto their modern counterparts.
