1972 NART Ferrari Stingray Livery for the Gran Turismo Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.

Driven by Dave Heinz and Robert B Johnson at Le Mans in 1972 under the NART Ferrari banner.

While the exact details of how the car entered up under the NART barrier are not known. The popular story goes that as a means of trying to compete against the BF Goodrich backed Corvette of John Greenwood, Goodyear convinced, or forced,  the NART team to allow the car to be entered as part of their team for the event.

Hence the car running in the race with Ferrari decals in what came to be a very unusual entry.

The full story of the car can be found here for those interested.
