Wolf Racing Herbert Drexler DTM Ford Mustang tribute livery for the Gran Turismo Sport Mustang Gr.4, based on his 1988 Wolf Racing DTM Ford Sierra RS 500 Cosworth.
With the Group A period being my favourite period of Touring Car Racing the lack of cars from that period meant that I built a number of liveries based on the cars under the title of “Project Group A”. Principally as a way of forcing my Adobe Illustrator skills to improve and so I could pull in liveries of that period onto their modern counterparts.
This car is based on a car which was fairly unknown and wasn’t photographed very much in period.
Obviously, as the car bears little to no similarities in shape to the original Sierra there have been compromises to keep the livery close to the original while trying to fit around the Mustang shape.
